Remember the book you read one summer? You never forgot how it made you feel. Maybe you shared it with your own children. Since May we’ve been keeping a list collecting your favorite summer reads.

Now, for just $5 per book, you can share your favorite with a child served through CLiF’s Summer Readers programs.

CLiF will serve 3,700 kids at more than 50 events across New Hampshire and Vermont this summer. Most of these children have few, if any, books of their own at home, and are at real risk of growing up with low literacy skills.

Here’s how to give a book you love to one of these kids:

  • Click this link. Then:
  • Pick your favorite summer reading book. (We have some suggestions based on that list).
  • Donate $5 for each book you’d like to give.
  • In the comments, tell us the title (or titles) of the book you’d like to donate.

Your donation will go directly to buy the book you choose (as long as it’s available). CLiF will feature the book you donate at a Summer Readers event this summer, and a child will bring your book home. And it will make as big a difference to him or to her as it made to you.

Every $5 buys a new book. If you donate more than $5, you may donate more than one book title–or donate several of the same title. It’s up to you!

Thank you! Click here to share your favorite summer book with a child.
